Juggling

Juggling- from the 'Live at Distler Hall' EP

Five a clock the office exodus begins,
Its Friday night and everybody knows.
Jump in the car and I drive to the places I could get to with my eyes closed
We speed up the process of going deaf, with the help of our loud cranking radios,
No one needs to ask where we’re going, cuz we already know.

Pull into the bar sit to a blonde guy and a skinny girl
Yea they’re already kissing,
Reminds us all and we order another round in memory of whose missing.
Night goes on and we get rowdy, the bartender gets a little pissed off,
But at the end of the night, it still feels like we’re one drunken laugh too soft.

And on the car ride home…
There’s one seat belt left unbuckled
In my once packed car
Yea we’re so happy that you found paradise
But it’s just to far…away.

Everyone needs someone to help carry the weight of their secrets,
And to laugh at all their stupid ass jokes,
Yea my secrets have got so heavy,
And my wits are met with silence that chokes.
Yea I used to have my own personal shrink,
But now the numbers always busy, or I get the recording.
Yea my phone bill has gone down, but my life is just that much more boring.

And on the car ride home…
There’s one seat belt left unbuckled
In my once packed car
Yea we’re so happy that you found paradise
But it’s just to far…away.

I know your just trying to juggle these balls
Without letting any of them hit the ground.
But it feels like we were lost somewhere
When that other ball was found.

Cuz now when you call I just play the same song,
Through the broken record player in my cheeks
Yea “I’m so happy for you,” has been the extent of our conversation for weeks.

And on the car ride home…
There’s one seat belt left unbuckled
In my once packed car
Yea we’re so happy that you found paradise
But it’s just to far…away.

And I know you’ll get better at this circus act
I’m just impatient for the day
Yea that seats still empty,
It’ll never be filled
Just don’t be so far away.

Red Bull Vodka

Red Bull Vodka- from the 'Just Another Night' EP

Bringing hip hop in the club don't let it shock ya
It's a killer combo like Red bull vodka
Got you rockin, poppin lockin
Mixin up styles an their aint no stopping

Goin out tonight, gonna cause some trouble
Gonna tear down the walls ---gonna rise from the rubble
So bring your nice ride or your bring your Winnebago
Pack your crew in the back, head to San Diego

Roll up to the club, give the girls a scout
Lines longer than the day rock band came out
But when I get to the front, the velvet parts,
Starts my heart speeding like its Mario kart

Cuz the music is hot an the dj's playing my song
An if my girls not cute I'm like please move along
so take my picture
Jock my look
Tag it show it off to your friends on facebook

Cuz I’m tryin to get loose-- give my step a little spring
An everybody knows red bull gives you wings.

Bringing hip hop in the club don't let it shock ya
It's a killer combo like Red Bull vodka
Got you rockin, poppin lockin
Mixin up styles an their aint no stopping

(Allright we're gonna slow it down a bit)
I’m feeling like tonight I wanna take it to the dance floor.

If you wanna make it hot that's fine with me
Cuz I never even had to learn my ABC's
No library cards, no late fees
An I still got you wanting my mp3s!
Freeze!-- this is my expertise
If ur tryin to get down let me fill your needs
I'll bring the rhymes you bring the soul
I'll bring the rhymes you bring the soul (chorus: "Hip Hop in the club….)

Bringing hip hop in the club don't let it shock ya
It's a killer combo like Red Bull vodka
Got you rockin, poppin lockin
Mixin up styles an their aint no stopping

Everybody throw your hands up,
Cuz when I step to the mic I got swagga like a king
my flow pours smoother than your favorite drink,
Everybody throw your hands up,
Just trying to get loose and give my step a little swing
and everybody knows Red Bull gives you wings..

Devils and Angels (Risk Reward)

Devils and Angels (Risk Reward)- from the 'Just Another Night' EP

The Risk, the reward

I swear it was so innocent

If you knew what I do when I went to get a drink at the club

It’s a popular pub on 25th

Two drinks an I’m halfway lit

Sittin at the bar when I smelled her scent

Fatal attraction, feel the reaction,

Then, I started the move the band playing

Setting the mood, feelin the booze, I’m saying:

Throwing my inhibitions out the window

Watching her body move swaying to the tempo

Drawn by her eyes couldn’t look away

Grabbed her by the hand led her to the back of the place

Up against the wall noses touch

Hand on my thigh, feels like too much,

Cuz I’m gambling my past for a moment of bliss

Is it worth the risk if we kiss?

Cuz my cell phone keeps on ringing

My girl at home keeps calling

Can’t help but keep on thinking

The house we built is falling….

The risk, the reward

My baby’s sweeter than succa (sugar)

Top of the line like beluga cavier,

We don’t kick it like we used to

But I don’t wanna lose you or break your heart,

But when I crawl into bed you turn away

Never seem to hear the words I say

Never reach for my hand when we’re headed out

When we’re making love never seem to hear you shout

So what happened to last November

In your white dress said it’d be forever

For worse or better

No matter the weather

But everything seems faded together

Cuz my cell phone keeps on ringing

My girl at home keeps calling

Can’t help but keep on thinking

The house we built is falling….

The street lights are dim, it’s kinda cold and I’m feeling bold cuz of the gin

Now we’re talking about dipping out, headed to her friends house one block south

It took a couple of minutes in her kitchen sippin Guinness, we finish, an now we’re right back in it.

But as memories return from forgotten times, I’m hearing devils and angels within my mind.

My cell phone keeps on ringing

I say everythings fine,

She takes off all her clothes

I hesitate with mine

Cuz the gins wearing off; now everythings clear

Got troubles at home but shouldn’t solve it here,

Zipped up my coat, said I apologize

She never saw the ring, she saw it in my eyes

Walked back to the car at the bar, put the keys in, freezing, trying to start the car

Pulled up my bedroom light on,

Staying up late waiting for me to come home

Glad I didn’t gamble my love tonight

But then I see two figures in the window light

Bust open the door candles lit clothes on the floor

What the F**K is this SH*T!

Cuz my cell phone keeps on ringing

My girl at home keeps calling

Can’t help but keep on thinking

The house we built is falling….

I let my phone keep ringing

Now I know why she was calling

I hear the angels singing

The house we built has fallen.

Insomnia

Insomnia- from the 'Give Me Hope' EP

Wake up I’m still exhausted

Shadows hang from my eyes

I got a full eight hours

But it’s no surprise

Cuz I can’t sleep without you near

It just doesn’t feel like my bed without you,

Just doesn’t feel right.

I’ve tried hugging a pillow

But it never feels the same.

It’s never angry when I steal the covers,

I even miss the way you complain

Cuz I can’t sleep without you near

It just doesn’t feel like my bed without you

Last night while I was sleeping

I heard a knock outside my door

You crept in like a ghost, nestled

Like a thousand times before

Like an instinct my arm found it’s nook

Between your shoulders and your neck

You pulled your hair all forward

So I could breathe you while we slept

But as I wrapped you up so tightly

I felt the brightness creeping in

I shut my eyes so tightly

But the sunshine always wins

The world around me evaporated

My arms fell empty and free

I woke up looking for you

But found only me.

I’ve had dreams of dying

Of falling and of ghosts,

That memory of falling into sleep with you

Will haunt me most

Cuz I can’t sleep without you near

It just doesn’t feel like my bed without you.

Just doesn’t feel right.

Throw your Hands Up (What Kind of Music do you like?)

Throw your hands up (What Kind of Music do you Like?)- From the 'Just Another Night' EP

Bringing hip hop to the club dont let it shock ya
its a killer combo like Red Bull vodka
got you lockin, poppin, rockin
mixings up styles and there aint no stopping

Used to be music segregation
now we throw it all together, together one nation
got kids wearing bling but they like hard rock
kids wearing skinny jeans but they bump hip hop

Mozart next to MIA

Tom Waits coming up after the fray
Mickey Avalon next to Johnny Cash
the Rite of spring had the same goal as the clash

Now I got what you want
a little side of rap with a tinge of punk
so everybody in the club throw your hands up (hands up...)
and tell me

What kind of music do you like? Nearly all of it.

Born to rock and roll memphis blues
hip hop dont stop with your b-boy crews
gangsta rap had the 90's poppin
2pac an the Doc kept Cali rocking

but now its Mozart next to MIA
tech-9ne an Nas an then Coldplay
Marty Robbins next to Johnny cash
Sigur Ros comin up after the Clash

Now I got what you want
a little side of rap with a tinge of punk
so everybody in the club throw your hands up (hands up...)
and tell me

What kind of music do you like? Nearly all of it.

Strange combination led to innovation
two heads to different radio stations
brown an Caucasian but on the same page in
their goal to make music that sick

I know I don’t look like a rapper from harlem
Classical Nodden may seem like a problem
but our beats bump an every DJ's got 'em
an even your girl wants my .....

Spun by Saunders Theron an G-Roy
I'm causing panic at the club so fall out boy
no stranger to danger and modest mouse
We’re like the talking heads: burning down the house.

Now I got what you want
a little side of rap with a tinge of punk
so everybody in the club throw your hands up (hands up...)
and tell me

What kind of music do you like? Nearly All of it.

We See the Sun

We See the Sun- from the 'Give Me Hope' EP

You’ll never reach the brightness

I’ve heard so many times

Feels like my forecast is always charcoal gray

Strain your eyes you’ll see the cracks in the clouds

The light drowns out all those words that they say

Cuz when I saw you

I knew you, the clouds crumbled and all fell free

And when I saw you, I knew you

It’s the way it had to be.

We see the sun, we’re the only ones,

We’re gonna find a way to make it through

Peer through the haze, stop counting the days

Cuz we’re gonna find a way to make it through

You’ll never reach the brightness

The bitter tongues they warn

Refuse to believe what their eyes have never seen

They’ll say we’re crazy til we make it

But I wont let them commit us now

Cuz theres still honor in chasing down a dream.

Cuz when I saw you,

I knew you the clouds crumbled and all fell free

Cuz when I saw you, I knew you,

It’s the way it had to be

We see the sun, we’re the only ones

We’re gonna find a way to make it through

Peer through the haze

Stop counting the days

We’re going to find a way to make it through.

See through the clouds it’s the only way out for us.

We’re going to find a way to make it through.

Sadly After Again

Sadly After Again-from the 'Give Me Hope' EP

The northern lights have been replaced
By a fire haze
Somewhere shrapnel falls like snow
Where a baby plays
Rubble falls down on the streets
Building monuments to the pain
It’s broken my will
Living sadly after again

I pray those flowers wont wilt
Before I return
I lost the right to my homeland
Cuz of a simple sunburn
I call out to our bloodlines
They’ve forgotten we are kin
Its broken my will
Living sadly after again

(aaaah’s and oohs)

Build your walls up high
To block your view
Hear the screams at night
Say you never knew
Living in a place,
Where every brothers name is Cain
Its broken my will
Living sadly after again

And you say it doesn't matter
And you say it isn't true
And you it doesn’t matter
But what it’ll happen if it happened to you
If it happened to you...

The Northern Lights have been replaced
By a fire haze
It’s broken my will
Living sadly after again
